This distribution consists of AstroFrames, a program for calculating
planetary positions and astrological primary directions, and Julian, a
program for calculating reflected julian dates around a given date
(useful for converse progressions and directions when using other
programs). The distribution also includes an Ada binding to the
Swiss Ephemeris.

For installation on UNIX-like operating systems, see the file INSTALL. Both
this source distribution and an installer package for Windows are available
at http://home.attbi.com/~efalis

For builds on Windows, a Glide project file windows.adp is in each
executable's subdirectory (astroframes, julian, tests). Paths will
have to be modified.

The binary Windows distribution does not contain Julian or the
AstroFrames unit test suite.

This source distribution has been tested on several version of Linux, and
on Solaris 2.8. The Windows installer version has been tested on Win 95,
Win 98 and Win 2000, but should be compatible with Win ME and Win XP.

Although the documentation is incomplete, the readme_win.txt file in the
docs subdirectory explains some of the features of the program (including
the notation used for primary directions). For the Windows distribution,
this file is in the top-level of the directory tree where AstroFrames
was installed.

The Swiss Ephemeris is released under its own license, which can be viewed

The maintainer of this package is Ed Falis ( falis@adelphia.net ).
